The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of environment on the productive performance of arugula in different row spacings and plant spacing. The experiment was conducted in the spring, summer 2011 and in the autumn and winter 2012. The experiment design was a randomized complete block design with four replications in a 3x2 factorial design. The first factor consisted to the row spacings (0.20; 0.25 and 0.30 m) and the second to the plant spacings (0.05 and 0.10 m). The plant height and diameter, leaf number, leaf area and total leaf fresh matter and productivity were evaluated. The data were subjected to variance analysis and the average were compared by Tukey test (p<0.05). In the spring and in the plant spacing of 0.05m were verified... |

ABSTRACT: Until now there are few early soybean cultivars with adequated characteristics of productivity and plant height available to the economical soybean crop in the Cerrado Region. The yearly cultivars, besides to permit a better farm planning for planting and harvesting, thy also allow the use of no-tillage technique with two crop systems such as soybean before corn, sorghum or sunflower. BRS Rosa is a early cultivar (112 days of cicle) originated from the cross between FT Guaira X FT Estrela, resulting from a group work including Embrapa Cerrados, Embrapa Soja plus a significant finantial support of Cerrados Fundation. In the final testes to cultivars releasing, BRS Rosa was superior then the test cultivars such as FT 2000 and Emgopa 316. This... |

The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of pollinating insects on canola productivity for different commercial hybrids, Hyola 61 and Hyola 433, in Minas Gerais State, Brazil. The studies were conducted at the Fazenda Experimental Água Limpa of the Federal University of Uberlândia. To evaluate the influence of pollination by bees on the production of canola seeds, an experiment was carried out to exclude floral visitors and compare canola seed production following four treatments: (a) autogamy in Hyola 61, (b) autogamy in Hyola 433, (c) open pollination in Hyola 61, with insects having free access, and (d) open pollination in Hyola 433, with insects having free access. Flowers that were available for pollination had 25% and 18.8% heavier... |
